Motorcyclist Injured In Drunk Driving Accident According To Police
Briarcliff Manor Police arrested an Ossining man, after a driver requested officer and EMS assistance at the scene of the accident.
Briarcliff Manor, NY – On early Saturday morning, around 4:30 am, an Ossining man called police requesting officers and EMS assistance at Scarborough Road near the intersection of Becker Lane under unusual circumstances.
According to the Briarcliff Manor Police, the driver suffered a flat tire when he struck an unattended motorcycle sitting in the middle of the road.
According to the man, he noticed a man, who seemed to be the operator of the motorcycle. Police found the injured motorcyclist, semi conscious and injured from a head injury as a result of an accident. He was a 36-year-old Ossining resident. The motorcyclist was transported to Westchester Medical Center. Later he was arrested by the police under the charge of driving under the influence. His cell phone was confiscated by the police and no statement was made on the extent of his injuries and present condition.
Apart from the DWI charge, the motorcyclist also received “numerous summonses.” He is to appear in the Briarcliff Manor Justice Court on October 10.
The car and the motorcycle were also taken to the police headquarters and are pending investigation.
